About your therapist
Bridget Gray-Todd is a Wilmington, N.C. native that has always known she wanted to aid others in their search for wellness. As a teenager she was a volunteer at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. During these years she felt a great sense of fulfillment in helping others. She was involved in many different sports throughout her youth. Her experiences during those years led her to attend Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. where she attained a B.S. in Health Promotion with a Minor in Exercise Science. The extensive education she received allowed her to better understand the human body and the effects of an individual’s environment on their wellbeing.
Upon graduation Bridget worked for Blue Ridge Health Care Wellness Center where she directed many of their Wellness Programs. Here, she launched a program to assist children with unhealthy lifestyles. The goal was to educate them on the benefits of healthy living. She helped them develop healthier practices of eating and facilitated activities that promoted a healthier lifestyle. She also worked with Cardiac Rehabilitation patients and did Fitness Assessments for members of the Wellness Center. Subsequently, she began to understand that she wanted to facilitate transformations in peoples’ lives.
It was at this time she enrolled at the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville, N.C. Here she learned the benefits of integrating Massage Therapy into a regular health care regimen. Further, she realized that therapeutic bodywork could lead to more comprehensive self awareness. Her studies included many modalities; such as Swedish, Deep Tissue and NeuroMuscular Massage.
After relocating back to Wilmington, Bridget began to specialize in NeuroMuscular Massage and took numerous continuing education classes. She felt that she would better serve her clients if she continued to increase her knowledge of Massage & Bodywork Therapy.
After more than fifteen years of hands-on experience, Bridget feels that she can better assist her client’s in meeting their goals while helping them to become more conscious of their body’s needs. She continues to take continuing education classes to increase her knowledge so she can aid in her client’s wellness.
